FUTA IN COLLABORATION WITH UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN AFRICAN PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARS, USA.

FUTA- UMAPS

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) in collaboration with the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars (UMAP) partners to train young Academic reseachers with a career span of no more than ten years. The prize award, USD 10,000, for a period of five months (January - May and August - December) every year.

The applicants must be:

i An early faculty member who has taught in the higher education system for less than ten years and presently teaching in an African college or University.

ii Capable of demonstrating support from a home instituition through a letter of refrence from the department head, dean or vice chancellor

iii The applicant should be able to stay at the University of Michigan for at least five months

iv After the program ends, the applicant must return to the University.

NB; Application period starts from August 15th to October 15th of every year,.
