International Strategy Office


The International Strategy Office (ISO) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) facilitates, stimulates, sustains and promotes the University’s international relationships with other foreign universities and institutions. The Office is the hub for answers to questions on international collaborations/partnerships/linkages between FUTA and its partner foreign universities/institutions, international contacts, international researchers, international admissions, assisting of international students, the facilitation of the Universitys students/faculty members/staff on studying or interning outside of Nigeria and hosting of international scholars/conferences.

The ISO has been specifically designed to help stimulate, facilitate and coordinate the internationalization and globalization agenda of the University. To this effect, services rendered by the ISO include facilitation of collaborations/partnership through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with local and international institutions, stimulating exchange of faculty members, staff and students with partner institutions/organizations, admission processing for prospective exchange or international students, writing letters of introduction/support to Embassies on behalf of staff and students who are planning to embark on international study,conference or trip as well as seeing to welfare and hosting of international guests/visitors to the University.

Membership of International Associations

The International Office manages the membership of the University with International Associations such as International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) and International Association of Universities (IAU)
